ATC CELLULAR BIOREPOSITORY
The ATC Cellular Biorepository provides secure liquid nitrogen storage and professionally managed access for valuable cellular and biospecimen resources. Our mission is to support high-quality research by ensuring specimen integrity, reliable access, and standardized handling for investigators across institutions.
PLEASE NOTE:
Dedicated hours: Tuesdays & Thursdays, 9:30–11:30 a.m. and 12:30–1:30 p.m.
Outside of Dedicated hours: must be scheduled in advance to ensure staff availability. Phone and email contact is listed at the bottom of this page.
“Access” refers to technician-assisted storage and/or removal of samples during a single visit.
To schedule Access for cell storage and removal, please download and fill out the BSB Cell Storage Form and email to:
UCSD RATES
Applies to investigators from UC San Diego, VA San Diego Healthcare System & Veterans Medical Research Foundation (VMRF).
Liquid Nitrogen Storage: $16 per box per month.
Access During Dedicated hours:
• $79 technician time for 2 accesses during dedicated hours.
Access Outside of Dedicated hours:
• $135 technician time for 2 accesses outside of dedicated hours.
UCSD-AFFILIATED RATES
Applies to non-profit academic institutions.
Liquid Nitrogen Storage: $23 per box per month.
Access During Dedicated hours:
• $115 technician time for 2 accesses during dedicated hours.
Access Outside of Dedicated hours:
• $195 technician time for 2 accesses outside of dedicated hours.
INDUSTRY RATES
Applies to for-profit external industry partners
Liquid Nitrogen Storage: $46 per box per month
Access During Dedicated hours:
• $230 technician time for 2 accesses during dedicated hours
Access Outside of Dedicated hours:
• $390 technician time for 2 accesses outside of dedicated hours.
